1) какого хрена в ней нет Xconfigurator'a ???

2) что за ботва в XF86Config вместо строк с Modeline ???

3) как Вы настраивали в этой шляпе vsync & hsync если не через ХФ86сонфиг???

Через ХФ86 ??? но как??? там ведь не указывается явной частоты обновления, а только диапазон вроде того: 60 - 120 . ???

Вообщем ясно все. Сейчас настрою. Наконец то я понял, что в линухе надо все руками брать и записывать то, что требуется. Все ни как привыкнуть не могу.

Надо просто знать как он называется. Уже не помню,
но конфигуратор в RH9 есть, причем даже несколько.

redhat-config-xfree86 или xf86config или configureX

У тебя RH9 установлен вот и посмотри.

Да.. хорошо бы такие названия прог по настройке иксов, сети и пр. были написаны на дефалтны, х обоях рабочего стола, было б оч. удобно, ИМХО

суть вопроса в том, где мне узнать эти значения для моего монитора для 1024х768? в винде у меня H=81.3 V=100.3

Плохо листал. Практически все выводится из двух диапазонов разверток. Кроме того хватает программок для подсчета этих этих параметров. Например gtkmodeline
