Скомпайлил я ядро[2.6.14.1], положил в папку /boot, сделал modules_install, добавил запись в .lst grub'овский и вот... :(
GRUB не могёт найти кернел.

а в root правильно указал раздел !?

puchiwoczka, menu.lst в студию...

Наступил на подобные грабли, решил удалением /boot в пути к кернелу и образу, т.е. получиться должно что-то в стиле
